New trailer for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Secret confession: I wasn’t really a fan of this book. It’s done well enough, but the art style always kept me away for some reason - I couldn’t make it and the story match in my head. At any rate, the movie looks really, really good. And I love how Edgar Wright has used motion graphics to incorporate sound effects into the movie. It’s a neat way to interpret a comic book on the big screen. Obviously, it wouldn’t work in a movie like Iron Man that requires a certain degree of verisimilitude, but in a quirky story like Scott Pilgrim, it’s fun and inventive.
