huge update - mwky, bachelor party, wedding, honeymoon
Sorry I’ve been absent for so long. As most of you no doubt know, I’ve been getting married, honeymooning, and moving into a new place. I trust you all entertained yourselves in my absence. I’m back now, though, so let’s never be apart again.
To catch you all up on the past month, here’s what’s been going down - from the beginning.
Three weeks ago I had my bachelor party/Men’s Weekend Kentucky 4. Friday night we went to a legends game where Dirty had procured us a luxury box.
We hung out and watched the game.

James got paid $20 to lick a dirty pillow from seam to seam.
And we met Jarrod from Subway.
After the game we headed to Shamrock’s to hear Charley The Intern play a gig.
There was much rejoicing.

That night some of us crashed at BC’s loft downtown.

The next morning we headed out to Newport. We saw The Dark Knight and then sampled some of the local night life.

It was a great weekend. I can’t thank Dirty, BC, The Colonel and the other guys enough for putting it together.
The next weekend it was wedding time. Our rehearsal and dinner were on Thursday night. Our friend Brooke’s mom hosted the whole shindig at her house. It was a fun relaxing night with great weather and incredible food.

The next night was the wedding. Now I realize that I’m extremely biased here but it was the most incredible wedding I’ve ever been a part of. From our friend Charlie Younger singing The Healing Has Begun by Van Morrison to No Nickname Fred and Glen making everything so personal, to seeing all my friends and family lined up across the front of the stage with Sara and I, it was the greatest night of my life. And that’s to say nothing of the fact that it was the night the smartest, kindest, most beautiful girl in the world agreed to be my wife. If you haven’t already, go to www.pictage.com and do a search under my name so you can see how gorgeous Sara was. It’ll take your breath away. In the meantime here’s some pictures I ganked from the Colonel and James:

After the reception Sara and I headed to Versailles to spend two days in the beautiful Storybook Inn, home of the best frittata I’ve ever had.

Then we flew out to the Palace Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Here’s what our room looked like:

This was the view from our balcony.
We spent most days lounging by the pool.

We did go into town a couple of times. Unlike Lexington, you can go downtown in Play Del Carmen and see a spider monkey.

We had a great time. It was beautiful and we really would have loved another week or so, but reality and new jobs were calling.
Thank you everybody who made the last few weeks so incredible and special. I and the new Mrs. Drury love you all more than we can say.
