More like Wolvercrap…

Went with some friends to see the Wolverine movie last night. It was pretty bad. The writing was hacky and cliched, there were a lot of silly gaffes, and a seemingly CGI’d Patrick Stewart (I’m getting mixed messages on the internerd. Some say it was him, botoxed beyond belief to look young, and some say he was dropped in via computer. Whatever).

I’m not one of those guys who needs a comic book movie to follow the comic beat for beat. If I was I’d be even more disapointed with this movie. It got about 20% of it right. But it’s Wolverine, and his comic storyline is pretty stupid anyway, so who cares?

What bothered me were the silly little mistakes that should have been caught by anyone paying a little bit of attention. Like the impossible length of the swords in Deadpool’s forearms, Deus Ex Machina plot devices, and character inconsistencies between this film and the earlier installments.

Anyway, I try not to nerd out about stuff as it’s bad for your heart and your sex appeal, but man that movie was horse crap. Sorry to all you folks who liked it.
